The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced global passenger traffic results for March 2018 showing that demand (measured in revenue passenger kilometers, or RPKs) rose 9.5%, compared to the same month a year ago, the fastest pace in 12 months. Capacity (available seat kilometers, or ASKs) grew 6.4% and load factor climbed 2.3 percentage points to 82.4%, which set a record for the month, following on the record set in February. Transatlantic mission capable single aisle on track for 2018 entry into service Airbus’ first A321LR has completed a set of hot weather tests at Sharjah International Airport. The hot weather tests which began on Tuesday 27th March, were performed to check the aircraft’s systems’ behaviour with a focus on the cabin, including cooling performance on the ground.
