UAE General Civil Aviation Authority signs an Air Services Agreement with the Republic of Kiribati

The Government of the United Arab Emirates and the Government of the Republic of Kiribati initiated an Air Services Agreement between the two Sides on the 21stof May. The UAE Delegation was led by Mr. Omar Bin Ghaleb, Deputy Director General, General Civil Aviation Authority and the Kiribati delegation was led by the Honorable Minister, Mr. Willie Tokataake, Ministry of Information, Communication, Transport and Tourism Development, who both signed a Memorandum of Understanding and initiated the ASA on behalf of their Governments. Passenger Demand Accelerates in March, Load Factor Sets Another Record

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced global passenger traffic results for March 2018 showing that demand (measured in revenue passenger kilometers, or RPKs) rose 9.5%, compared to the same month a year ago, the fastest pace in 12 months. Capacity (available seat kilometers, or ASKs) grew 6.4% and load factor climbed 2.3 percentage points to 82.4%, which set a record for the month, following on the record set in February.
