Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT) and CSP- Abu Dhabi sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration and ensure smooth transactions between the two facilities. The MoU promises to increase the cooperation between the two companies, directly benefitting the Abu Dhabi and UAE trade and supporting the Abu Dhabi Leadership vision 2030. The signing of MoU came in conjunction with the official inauguration of CSP Terminal – Abu Dhabi. First Airbus A321LR completes hot weather tests at Sharjah International Airport

Transatlantic mission capable single aisle on track for 2018 entry into service  Airbus’ first A321LR has completed a set of hot weather tests at Sharjah International Airport. The hot weather tests which began on Tuesday 27th March, were performed to check the aircraft’s systems’ behaviour with a focus on the cabin, including cooling performance on the ground. The tests are part of a 100-hour flight test programme following the aircraft’s maiden flight on 31st January 2018. 2017 Marked by Strong Passenger Demand, Record Load Factor

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced global passenger traffic results for 2017 showing that demand (revenue passenger kilometers or RPKs) for the year ended 31 December rose 7.6% compared to 2016. This was well above the 10-year average annual growth rate of 5.5%. While the rate of demand growth slowed to 6.2% in December 2017, compared to December 2016, this largely was owing to less favorable comparisons to the even stronger growth trend seen in the year-ago period.
